Which electric ride-on car is right for your child?

The right ride-on car depends mainly on your child's age and weight, and on where they will be driving: on the driveway, in the garden or on the cycle path.

• Ages 1 to 3: choose a compact 6V or 7.4V model, or a 12V car with a parental remote control. That way you can steer and brake along with your child until they can do it themselves.
• Ages 3 to 5: a 12V electric ride-on car is the most popular choice. It travels at a gentle 3 to 6 km/h, and on many models you can choose the speed yourself.
• Age 5 and over, or two children: a 24V ride-on car or a 2-seater model has more power, accelerates faster and has room for a brother, sister or friend.

What should you look for in an electric ride-on car?

• An official licence: the car then has recognisable details from the real model, such as lights and sounds.
• A parental remote control, a seat belt and EVA tyres for extra grip. You'll find these on many of our models.
